LOOK: Michelle Madrigal shares fitness journey post-natal

Michelle Madrigal shares her fitness journey just a year after she gave birth to her daughter last 2017.
Michelle struggled as she gained weight during her pregnancy with her first child, Anika Austin Woolfolk in 2017. But after she gave birth, she decided to go back to her healthy lifestyle and fitness routine. In her Instagram post on her account @mitch_madrigal last January 10, Michelle shared her fitness journey to her followers.

“The progress is real!!!(Hello quads) Now, this didn’t happen overnight…. 1 year of consistently training from weight loss to gaining muscle mass. It has been a great journey of learning how to properly fuel my body and doing the exercises that works best for me,” she wrote.
She posted a photo of her before and her photo as of the moment to show the progress and changes in her body. One could notice the big difference, especially with the size of her waist and hips. Michelle was able to lose some weight, as well ss build some muscle mass. Michelle’s body is more toned that before. One could actually see that she got some toned abs going on in her body.
But Michelle also said that going back to her pre-pregnancy body was really hard and she does not always have the motivation to work out.

“Was I always motivated? Heck NO!!!! But I wanted to feel great and look good in bikinis and crop tops lol. On a serious note, I had a GOAL of getting back into my pre baby weight… and once I hit that, I set a new one and that it so build muscle mass around my legs, glutes & back. I knew how I WANTED to feel about my body,” she added.
She said that in order to get the results she is aiming for, she had to try some changes in her work-out routine.

“In order to get new results, you’ll have to do something you’ve never done before. I used to do cardio, boot camp with “lightweights” because I was afraid to “bulk up”. Well I’m glad @twoolf29 helped me get out of that mindset.”

Troy Woolfolk, Michelle’s husband, is also a fitness enthusiast and a former athlete so he really helped his wife to reach her goal.
