A highly emotional Robin Padila has taken to Facebook defending his friends from the showbiz who have been criticized heavily by the Opposition camp for tagging along President Duterte’s recent trip to Russia.

In a Facebook LIVE video posted by News5 today, 7 October 2019, Padilla who was apparently just woke up from sleep said he hesitated because it was still early in the morning but his desire to defend his friends from criticism overcame the part of him holding him back.

However, while reading the comments or the news, Padilla feigned surprised that Kuya Ipe (Philip Salvador), Cesar Montano and Moymoy Palabay, asking why they were Russia?

Padilla remarked that if the critics are saying that his showbiz friends were freeloaders, he strongly denied the accusation.

(We bought our plane tickets. Our hotels were paid from our own pockets.)

Mukha ba kaming walang pera? (Do we look like we have no money? You are something. We have money. And that money is a gift from our supporters. When we go abroad together with our beloved President, Senator Bong Go and the Cabinet officials, we don’t go with them when they eat, or where ever. No way.)

Padilla continued, Sarili namin. ( It’s our own money. No, we never accepted money from politicians or received favors. We have our own money. Kuya Ipe has money. Cesar has money. Moymoy Palaboy is a good entertainer, and he never accepted any money. We went there, accompanied the President, not because of any official business but for the Filipinos. Remember that. For the Filipinos abroad. The Filipinos in Japan, in Russia and we go where ever they are. We entertain them for free.

Padilla continued his rant, insisting they even have to pay from their pockets to serve the Fiilipinos, the OFWs, the real modern Filipino heroes.

At this juncture, Padilla asked the critics if they are paying taxes? Asked if they can start a bragging contest who among them pays more taxes before critics can start hitting them?

Padilla dared the critics to make it public how much taxes they are paying , and how are their bank accounts. including their gold bars.

Padilla said that he knew a lot of politicians who are hoarding gold bars in their houses for practical reason. Padilla remarked that keeping gold bars is practical because politicians have so much money their vault isn’t big enough to their money.

Padilla stated that is daring the politician critic to determine who among them follow the laws of the country.

Padilla asked if is it bad to idolize a President like Duterte, to salute (show their respect) to the President that is why they are inspired to serve the Filipino working overseas.
