US Senator Ed Markey has taken to Twitter to comment on being the 3rd American politician of receiving the distinction of being banned from entering PH soil.

Markey tweeted “President Duterte is sorely mistaken if he thinks he can silence my voice. He has already failed to silence @SenLeiladeLima and others who have spoken truth to power. I stand with the people of the Philippines in fighting against his strongman tactics.”

Duterte supporter and blogger Noel Landero Sarifa has taken to Facebook to send a strong message to Sen. Ed Markey telling him to shut up because there is nothing right about his statement.

Sarifa reasoned that President Duterte did not intend to silence Sen. De Lima. In fact, she regularly issue statements from detention, proof that democracy and freedom of speech are alive and well in PH.

Sarifa elaborated that De Lima is in detention not because of political persecution, not to silence her but she’s facing trial for her supposed involvement in the illegal drug trade. De Lima was not arrested on President Duterte’s order but because the Supreme Court had affirmed her arrest, proof that our justice system is functioning. Sarifa told Sen. Markey that he is not the proper person to tell Filipinos if Sen. De Lima is telling the truth or not, guilty or not but our local court. Sarifa asked whether Sen. Markey is trying to influence our justice system and preempt the ongoing trial? Because as far as his book is concerned, what Sen. Markey is doing dictatorship and interfering with our sovereignty.

Sarifa remarked Sen. Markey was wrong to say that he stands with the people of the Philippines in fighting against President Duterte’s strongman tactics because LP and their supporters do not represent majority of the Filipinos and will never allow them again to represent us. Sarifa invited Sen. Markey to stand with us and help the president in destroying the elements that destroy this country.

You might have failed to know the truth with your statement since the President is the most trusted official of this country and happens to enjoy a record-high satisfaction rating, with that you already know that we are behind our president. If you stand with the people of the Philippines we do not fight against our president, we fight with him. If you also missed knowing that the majority of the Filipino people support the president’s war against drugs and that includes persecution of people who aid in the proliferation of the illegal substance. Then stand with us and help the president in destroying the elements that destroy this country, if you are talking about the Yellow Party as the people of the Philippines, they do not in any way represent us and will never allow them again to represent us.

Sarifa, in an empathic tone. told Sen. Markey that before he proclaimed himself as a hero fighting for the Filipinos, he should know the truth so that he will not sound ignorant as he is right now and that he is only doing more harm than good and the Filipinos are better off without him.

“So Sen Ed Markey, before you proclaimed yourself as a hero fighting for us, know the real status of our land so you will not sound as ignorant as you are right now, and no thank you, we don’t need your help, you are only messing things up. We are better off without you.”

Sarifa ended the post telling Sen. Markey to quit playing hero to the Philippines because we already have one, the strongman President Rodrigo Duterte.
